Bible App’s 21-Day Challenge: Are You In?
The New Year means New Year’s resolutions – either making them and forgetting them soon after, or refusing to make them in the first place because you know you’ll forget them soon after.(If anyone actually makes resolutions and completes them, please comment and let us know, because we’d love to know you exist!)
One resolution we could all stand to make is to read more Bible. Engaging in God’s word every day puts us in tune with the Holy Spirit and helps us look for God moving and acting in our lives. When we read the Bible, we learn how God wants us to respond to conflict, be generous, handle challenges, worship Him, and overall live our lives in a way that glorifies Him and puts us on the path He intends for us.
But for many, the Bible is a long, intimidating book. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start, and even harder to keep going once you’ve started. We get busy, we forget, etc. – just like the rest of our resolutions.
Enter YouVersion’s Bible App! This app offers a variety of short Bible reading plans, most only a couple weeks long, to help you develop good reading habits. Pick one of their plans to kick off 2015 with their 21-Day New Year Challenge! To help you keep inspired, anytime between January 1 and January 21, if you tweet which Plan you’re reading during the Challenge — with the hashtag #BibleFor21 — you’ll be entered to win one of many great prizes, including an iPad Mini!
