Current Service Opportunities
One of the things I love most about Real Life is its heart of service. We all have busy lives and varying levels of stress and struggle, but I’ve never known us to close our hearts to someone on need. Whether it’s a school supply drive, holiday food boxes, or baby supplies for an orphanage a world away, Real Life is open to being used of God to shower blessing and serve.
And between our four partner schools, local homeless shelters, and various connections our members have to other aid organizations, there are a lot of ways to serve! We’ve compiled them here for easy access, and we encourage you to look through and see where your resources, time, or talents can be utilized.
Plus, there are a few extra ways to serve this month:
- It’s October, which means we need lots and lots of candy for Neewollah! We usually hand out around 600 bags of candy at this outreach event. Drop your donation in the box in the foyer.
- The new Family & Community Resource Center at Fircrest Elementary is collecting new and gently used boy’s pants and shirts for students in need. They specifically need clothing for boys right now, size 5/6-10/12 pants and 5T and 5/6 shirts. Those can also be dropped in the trunk in the foyer.
- Want to help struggling families get nutritious food? Crestline Elementary is launching a fresh food pantry, but they need a truck driver to pick up the food from the food bank twice a month. Email me if you can help out!
Thank you for your willingness to serve!
Laura wears a lot of hats at Real Life: social media coordinator, outreach coordinator, retreat planner, and editor at large. Luckily she looks good in hats.
