God on the Move: The Moving Cloud
One of the verses that has shaped 2017 for us is Numbers 9:22-23:
22 Whether the cloud stayed above the Tabernacle for two days, a month, or a year, the people of Israel stayed in camp and did not move on. But as soon as it lifted, they broke camp and moved on. 23 So they camped or traveled at the Lord’s command, and they did whatever the Lord told them through Moses.
Throughout 2015, we prayed for God to move in us, for us, and through us so that we could learn more about Him and share how He has changed our lives. Last year, we prayed for double portion: double the people attending on Sundays, double the people choosing to align their lives with Christ, double the involvement and willingness to grow. Now, in 2017, we’re seeing those prayers continue to be answered in the form of this new church space we have an opportunity to move into.
We just wanted to say thanks for coming to the meeting on Wednesday, and thanks for being patient with us! We hope the meeting answered your questions, but if you have more, or couldn’t make it to the meeting, feel free to email us. We also hope you will join us Sunday because both services will incorporate your chance to vote on this move!
We’ll leave you with this word from Karadee, whose family has been connected to the Real Life property for generations:
“Having been a part of this church my whole life, literally helping build our little white box, I have a lot of emotional attachments to the property and many memories here. I have all sorts of reasons to say we should stay. However, I have reminded myself that the church is the people, not a structure, and we are supposed to go where God leads us. God is answering our prayer as a church in a BIG way and we need to go where he’s calling us to go. My entire family and I are so excited for the opportunity he’s providing for us to move and the opportunity to continue to share Christ with our community.”
We’re thankful for the ways God has blessed us over the years, and we’re excited to see what He does next! See you Sunday!
