Baptism: Your Identity Landmark

When Jesus is baptized, God announces his identity as the son of God. After that, Jesus heads into the desert and is tempted for 40 days. How did he withstand it? He knew who he was.

While we may never have to endure a month and a half of temptation at the hands of Satan himself, baptism serves a similar function for us: it confirms our identity publicly as children of God.

Jesus’ baptism was just the first step in his ministry, but it was the basis by which he changed the world. Do you feel grounded in your identity of faith? Are you ready to have firm footing? Join us and get baptized on Sunday, August 27th! Invite your family and friends to celebrate with us, too!
